Q: How do I get started?
A: Get started by contacting us via any of the following channels:
Schedule a free initial consultation online.
Fill out and submit a webform.
Call or text us at (971) 808-2448.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll keep your communications for the purpose of seeking legal representation in strict confidence, whether or not you end up hiring our firm.
Q: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: We provide an easy online scheduling tool to avoid cluttering your inbox with emails back and forth about our mutual availability. Here’s how it works for each type of appointment:
Initial Consultation. We’ll call you at the number you provided at the date and time you specified. No other steps are necessary.
Strategy Session. If there are no conflicts of interest, we’ll email you our engagement letter and secure online payment link—which you need to sign and pay prior to the appointment.
Virtual Clinic. If there are no conflicts of interest, we’ll email you with our engagement letter, a secure online payment link, and further details about the course.
Q: How and when do we establish an attorney-client relationship?
A: To establish an attorney-client relationship, all of the following must be true:
We handle your type of legal matter.
We currently have the bandwidth to provide the legal services you need.
There are no conflicts of interest that would prohibit us from working together.
You’ve signed an engagement agreement setting forth the scope of work.
You’ve paid our firm an advance deposit or retainer in the agreed-upon amount.
The following actions do not establish an attorney-client relationship:
Using our website, podcast, blog, social media, or other digital content.
Contacting us or scheduling an appointment online.
Q: How do I know which legal services I need?
A: If you need help figuring out which legal services you need the most (and how best to prioritize them), we recommend starting with a free 20-minute phone consultation.
Depending on the complexity of your situation, we may be able to identify the legal services you’ll need during the phone consultation. If it isn’t possible to do that in 20 minutes, then the next step will likely be a 1-hour Strategy Session to allow a deeper dive into your legal issues.
Q: How do you keep client information secure?
A: We follow best practices and industry standards when it comes to securing confidential client information. Upon written request, and at no extra charge to our clients, we provide 256-bit AES encryption and other options for secure end-to-end document delivery. You can always call us at (971) 808-2448 if you have any concerns about security.
